[Regarding the Handling of Personal Data]
SAZABY LEAGUE, Ltd. (“SZL”) securely manages the personal data of its customers, using such data properly within its purpose of use and in accordance with the policy below.
1. Handling of Personal Data.
- When acquiring a customer’s personal data from the customer themselves, SZL will first clarify the purpose of use of that data.
- Before acquiring personal data, SZL will first obtain the consent of that data’s owner. SZL will acquire only as much of the data listed below as needed to achieve the purpose of use listed in the first clause of section 2 (Usage of Personal Data).

① Data related to logging into or otherwise using the services provided by SZL (“Services”), including:
- IDs and passwords used to log into Services;
- information needed to register members and provide Services (such as a customer’s gender, birth date, name, address, telephone number, email, or social-media account);
- information related to awarding or using points, coupons, or other discounts; and
- information provided to SZL via a customer’s use of Services (such as credit-card information used in electronic payments, cash on delivery, or the shipping of products etc.).

- information about the customer’s device hardware or operating system;
- information about their connection to the Internet;
- IP addresses, referrers, and location data;
- information about the URLs viewed and the times they were accessed;
- information related to the usage of Services;
- information related to advertising IDs; and
- information related to log files.

- information acquired in accordance with law; and
- information acquired via a third party with the consent of the customer.

2. Usage of Personal Data.
- SZL uses the personal data it acquires from its customers for the following purposes:
- to manage its registered members and other users;
- for advertising and sales promotions such as distributing product information, lifestyle tips, various greetings, email newsletters, etc.;
- for tasks related to operating the point system;
- for tasks related to products and their sales (such as handling orders and layaways, delivering or transferring products, collecting payment, processing revenue, repairing items, providing after-sales services, etc.);
- for product planning and development as well as shopping surveys, analyses, etc.;
- for marketing activities such as distributing questionnaires;
- for customer support;
- to send notifications or handle inquiries related to the Services provided by SZL; and
- for other tasks related to the operation of Services provided by SZL.
- In addition to the personal data of customers themselves, some of the data collected indirectly by SZL includes the personal data of the family members of customers as well as things like the delivery location of products. However, SZL will only use information collected from a customer but belonging to someone else for the purposes of sales-related tasks such as filling orders, reserving products, processing revenue, repairing items, delayed transfers, deliveries, and providing after-sales services, as well as for tasks such as future product planning and development and conducting shopping analyses. SZL will not use such information for sales promotions that include product information, lifestyle tips, and other greetings.
3. Safety-Control Measures for Personal Data.
- SZL will establish internal regulations such as those that cover the handling of personal data and will manage such data properly in accordance with those regulations to ensure that the data is protected.
- SZL will implement the safety-control measures needed to prevent the unauthorized access of customer personal data and the alteration, loss, or leakage of such data.
- SZL will appoint a manager for the protection of personal data to ensure that the data of its customers is fully secure. SZL will also strive to educate and raise awareness among its employees regarding the protection of personal data and will supervise those employees as needed to ensure that they follow the safety-control measures implemented for personal data.
- When outsourcing the handling of customer personal data to a third party, SZL will appropriately supervise that third party to ensure that they follow the safety-control measures implemented for personal data.
4. Providing Personal Data to a Third Party etc.
- SZL will not disclose or provide the personal data of a customer to a third party, except in cases where it has obtained consent from that customer; where such disclosure is compelled by governmental authorities or legal obligations; where the disclosure is necessary to protect the life, health, property, or other major rights of another individual; or where the disclosure is otherwise prescribed by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
- If SZL discloses or provides personal data to a third party, it will enter an agreement with them and ensure that they fully protect that personal data, even in cases where the customer has provided its consent.
- Advertisements delivered by third parties may appear on websites managed by SZL. In such cases, these third parties may acquire and use the cookie data etc. of customers that visit those websites. Please refer to SZL’s separate Cookie Policy for more information on the usage of cookies.
- SZL sometimes encrypts the personal data it acquires from customers using hashes or other techniques that prevent the owner of the data from being identified, then uploads that data onto SZL’s websites, social-media platforms, or other locations and uses it for displaying advertisements etc. in cases where the data is suitable for those purposes. Also, SZL may sometimes provide such data to its parent company or subsidiaries for those entities to use.
5. Joint Usage of Personal Data.
SZL sometimes jointly uses the personal data it acquires from customers as described in section 1 of this policy (Handling of Personal Data) with its affiliates and group companies as well as department stores, shopping centers, and other retail facilities at which the customer shops. Information about the personal data jointly used by SZL is provided below.

6. Modification etc. of Personal Data.
- SZL will strive to keep its customer personal data accurate and up to date.
- If SZL receives a request to disclose, modify, stop using, or delete personal data from the customer themselves, it will promptly handle that request. (Under certain conditions, the customer may be required to bear the cost of this action.)
- SZL will establish a customer hotline for handling requests, inquiries, and consultations related to personal information.
- To submit a request to disclose, modify, stop using, or delete personal data, please use the form prescribed by SZL. For more information, please contact the customer hotline. Please note that a processing fee of ¥500 (tax included) will be assessed for each request to disclose or to notify of the purpose of use. Separate charges may be assessed for notifications that require postage etc.

7. Modifying the Privacy Policy.
- SZL will strive to continually review the contents of this privacy policy and other related policies for the purpose of improving them.
- SZL may modify all or a portion of this privacy policy as needed by providing notification via an appropriate method, such as by posting the updated privacy policy as well as the list of changes and the date the new policy goes into effect on its website or via email etc.
